After producing the ground-breaking community festival for the new museum in 2005, we were honored to be invited back to design Grand Opening events including a Donor Dinner, ticketed Black-Tie Gala and the Public Opening.
The public opening took place over a 12 hour window and had to continuously entertain crowds lined up outside waiting their timed turn to enter the facility. We accomplished this with 3 teams of our stilts birds as they rotated throughout the day. The amazing birds took took Roanoke by storm and became the talk-of-the-town as large crowds gathered to get a glimpse of these amazing life-like creatures.
