ECE was asked to produce a free music festival on the lawn of the State Capitol to commemorate the arrival of Queen Elizabeth II during her visit to the Commonwealth in celebration of the 400th Anniversary of the settlement at Jamestown.
Virginia's Royal Welcome will was a tribute to the state's musical heritage with authentic bluegrass, gospel, jazz and blues music. Legendary musician Dr. Ralph Stanley as well as Jane Powell, Robbin Thompson, Hunt Family Fiddlers and the Richmond Boys Choir, No Speed Limit and others performed.
